Argentina: Santiago Maldonado Presente!

The murder of Santiago Maldonado has triggered a series of actions in Argentina. Santiago disappeared on August 1st, kidnapped by the gendarmerie, and on October 20th, it was confirmed that a dead body found in the Chubut river belonged to our compañero Santiago Maldonado. We hope that the guilty will suffer the worst possible vengeance.

Chile/Brazil: Two Texts against the raids in Brazil called Operation ‘Érebo’

Chile: Solidarity Is Action

*On the raids against anarchist spaces in Brazil and on the internationalization of the anarchic offensive against repression in the Southern Cone.*

As has been reported in some media and blogs, at dawn on October 25th in Brazil the civil police of Rio Grande do Sul invaded anarchist spaces and homes in the context of an investigation into attacks on banks, police stations, car dealerships and headquarters of political parties carried out by anarchists over the last four years in Porto Alegre.

All of this occurred on the eve of the 8th Annual Anarchist Book Fair in Porto Alegre, that was scheduled to begin on the 27th of October but has now been cancelled until further notice in light of the events that have taken place.

The police have named this new repressive coup against anarchist Operation Erebo. In Greek mythology, Erebus (blackness) was a primordial god of darkness and shadow. Continue reading →

France: Arson Attack Targeting Energy Company Enedis Destroys 20 Vehicles

Note from Insurrection News, 25.10.17: During the night of October 23rd to 24th, a fire destroyed twenty vehicles belonging to the company Enedis (formerly known as ERDF), the electric power grid operator for most of France. Graffiti was left at the scene reading ‘LINKY GET OUT OF HERE!”. The next day Le Populaire du Center, a mainstream newspaper in the region announced that they had received a short communique from an anonymous group of women, using the acronym DECCLIN, claiming responsibility for the attack.

According to the communique, the women who carried out the arson attack did so to protest the lack of action by the authorities against Linky so-called ‘smart’ meters. Linky meters are basically a type of mini-computer similar to meters used in other parts of the world that are installed in homes to allow power companies to monitor electricity useage. Meanwhile in cop hating Greece… Molotov attack upon cop station in Athens

FOTH: We want to make it clear this is not a claim, just an article to inspire those who have had enough of this prison island that is the so called territory of the UK!

In Pefki area of Northern Athens, in the so called territory of ‘Greece’ ten hooded individuals showed what can be done with a few people, some cheap petrol and some empty beer bottles. Molotov cocktails were thrown at the local cop station in an attack that charred the front of the repressive building and torched two cop cars.

Hysteria and panic has been unleashed by the national media scum that the attacks by anarchists against cop stations has become a daily occurrence and oil has been added to molotovs to make the fire spread quicker. Continue reading →

Darlington: ATM kiosk blown to pieces

A kiosk that housed a cash machine was blown to pieces outside a Matalan store by an explosion that was heard miles away by local drones of passive society. The raiders made off with a big load of cash after laying carnage to the car park, with the whole kiosk obliterated, tress and signs also blown down.

Strangeways prison: Screws cars attacked

Several screws (prison slang for prison officer) cars were attacked outside Strangeways prison* last night as hooded gang smashed windows and threw paint stripper over the body work. The gang legged it when a local cop patrol spotted them, unfortunately one man was arrested after the attack. Paint/varnish stripper and double sided sticky tape were found in the car park where the easily reproducible attack happened. It is common for attacks to happen on screws in revenge for their violence and repression on prisoners inside, a molotov attack occurred this year in Scotland.

* FOTH: Also known as HMP Manchester, but we will always know it as Strangeways the scene of the biggest prison rebellion (1990) there has been on this shitty island of incarceration!)

Italy: Call for International Solidarity on 16 Nov – Operation Scripta Manent Trial

On November 16th, at 10 am, in front of the high security court in Turin, will be held the first hearing of the trial Scripta Manent, and it will be a long-running case, in which 22 anarchist comrades are charged, and seven of them are still in prison.

The repressive State apparatus accuses a part of the anarchist movement of attacking it with the practices of: destructive direct action against its structures and agents, realization and distribution of anarchist publications, and support for revolutionary prisoners.

The theorem of prosecutor Sparagna is that the positions of accused comrades are isolated and distant from the anarchist context.

It is a blatant attempt to factionalise and confine the anarchism to certain fenced enclosures, legal and interpretative.

We demolish the attempt to isolate these comrades and we affirm that the practices and positions they are accused of, constitute a patrimony of all anarchists and revolutionaries, and we reaffirm our closeness and our solidarity with the defendants.

We make a call to take part in the gathering on Thursday, November 16th, at 10 am, in front of the high security court of “le Vallette” Turin prison, and we relaunch the call for international solidarity with all anarchist, rebel and revolutionary prisoners; in any place and in accordance with the modalities that each person considers more appropriate.

Meanwhile in Sweden: Cop station blown up in ‘attack on society’

A powerful explosion has blown up the front of a cop station in Helsingborg, Sweden in what has been described as an ‘attack on society’ by the Swedish cops. Yesterday in the early morning the blast went off at the main entrance to the station damaging it, the windows of the front and windows in the surrounding area. Up until now no one has claimed responsibility.

The local scum media have been snitching that there has been an increase in threats and attacks upon cops and judiciary, with similar attacks on cop cars and stations. The authorities blame the attack on ‘criminal elements’ even going as far as describing the attack as “…to show that they dare to target the police. That’s why it’s so important to see this as an attack on democracy and to take powerful action. Trust in the judiciary’s ability is at risk of being eroded and then the risk of more attacks increases,”

Lewes prison: Screw dog handler knocked out during ‘mini riot’

A female screw was knocked out by prisoners at Lewes prison near Brighton, in attack that has been described as a ‘mini riot.’ The screw who is a dog handler tried to intervene when a package that was thrown over the fence to prisoners got caught in the wire. After being punched out cold, the screw got a propper kicking in an attack that has been the third such attack in six weeks. In the first attack the screw was given significant facial injuries and ribs were cracked. No animals were hurt in the riot, only screws.
